Dead Line: The Screams you will hear are real

One of the best Asylum films ever made and it seriously beat the other Asylum films and it is one of the better Asylum movies since 666 The Child, Freakshow, 666 The Beast and Exorcism The Possession Of Gail Bowers. I seriously remember watching this movie back to back with 666 The Beast. And when I watched this movie I was amazed with it and it was great. It's not the best Horror movie but at least it's ok. What's great about Dead Line is that the film has a really nice plot and I like the plot of this movie and the plot kept me interested from start to finish and everything that this movie did was just great and I was seriously proud with this film so far. What's great about Dead Line is that the film is really entertaining from start to finish and most of the dialogue of the film just kept me interested and I was fund of the film's idea so far. For the most part Dead Line has some of the most powerful moments in Horror cinema and The Asylum seriously does a unique job in making this movie and everything about Dead Line is just great and I was happy with this film so far. The budget of Dead Line is kinda low but at least since it's a low budget Horror/Thriller it at least managed to handle the entertainment and scares really well so far. What I like about this movie is that the film is really psychological from start to finish and the film has a lot of psychological and scary moments that can possibly scare any audience and the film really handles the suspense quite well so far. The psychological themes in the movie seriously impressed me a lot and the movie doesn't only feel like a Horror movie but more of a dark Psychological Thriller that will keep you thrilled and I like the idea of this movie for one reason. What I also like about this film is that the movie has a lot of twists and turns and I like how the twist reveals that all of the things that Martin heard on the phone is all in his head and I like how it reveals that Martin Sanders is the killer of the movie and it was a smart idea for a Psychological Thriller so far. While the film doesn't have enough gore and the kills are just a few in the movie this still has some of the greatest moments in a Horror film and what I like about this movie is mainly the camera work in the film and the movie's atmosphere keeps the film from being fresh and scary from start to finish and the whole movie is atmospheric from start to finish and I like the idea of the film so far. Now the acting in this film is just Solid and the performances of the casts really did a good job with they're work in the film so far and I think this is one of the Asylum's films that has some improved acting since 666 The Child so far. Overall Dead Line is an impressive Horror movie mixed with Psychological Thriller elements and I was impressed with this film so far.

Omen III The Final Conflict: Damien is back for the third time to fulfill his destiny as the Anti Christ in this chilling installment of the Omen trilogy

Though Omen III shows minor improvements over it's awful predecessor. This is still a bad film but it's nowhere near as awful as it's predecessor but at least it had it's moments to beat it's predecessor. I seriously thought that this was gonna be a good movie but in the end it was a letdown and it could have been so much better once again. This movie still had the same faults and problems that Omen II had but at least it had several minor improvements over it's predecessor. I did enjoy Omen III's moments and this movie almost succeeds to beat it's awful predecessor and this movie isn't close to the original due to it's faults and problems once again faced in the film. To be honest there are some moments that didn't impressed me a lot in Omen III there are some but there are also some moments that didn't impress me in Omen III The Final Conflict so far. What's great about Omen III is that the film has a really good plot once again and like I said I like the plot of each film. In the original Omen we get to see Damien's birth. Omen II shows Damien's Rise To Power and finally Omen III shows Damien's Armageddon. I was really fund of the plot of each Omen movie and to be honest I like the plot of each Omen movie for one reason and the plot seriously intrigued me but the sequels could have done better for one reason. What I also like about Omen III is that the film also has an impressive soundtrack from composer Jerry Goldsmith and I like how Jerry Goldsmith composed the song for the last time in Omen III The Final Conflict and he seriously handled the film's score for the last time and I like how he handled the song one last time so far in this movie. What I also like about this movie is that the film is also full of improved kills over it's predecessor. The death of the first Monk who attempts to kill Damien with the Seven Daggers of Meggido is really tense and suspenceful and it is one of the most impressive kills I've seen in Omen III so far. While the death of the second Monk where the other two Monks thought that it was Damien Thorn and they stabbed him repeatedly with the daggers of Meggido is one of the most brutal kills in Omen III so far and I think it was pretty gory as well. While the death of the
other two Monks are also suspenceful and intense
as well. And the death of each baby born on March 24 is also suspenceful and disturbing as well and I think the death of each baby is just disturbing and creepy for one reason. While the best death scene in Omen III is the scene where Damien's assistant gets killed by getting hit with a hot iron in the face is one of the most gruesome deaths in Omen III so far. What I also like about Omen III is that the film is also full of twists and turns and I like how Peter who is Kate's son in the film turns into the apostle of the devil is a really great twist and it was kinda creepy so far. The biggest downside once again with Omen III is that the film still doesn't have the originality that the first film had and the lack of originality couldn't save the film for one reason. Other than that the film also doesn't have enough suspenceful scenes on certain parts of the film and everything about Omen III seriously goes down the hill due to the lack of suspense as well. Now the acting is great the performances of the casts in the movie is just great although I like how Sam Neil played Damien in the movie and he was kinda creepy in this film so far and he handled his performance quite well in this movie. Director Graham Baker at least handled his directing quite well with this film than what Don Taylor did with the second Omen movie and I also heard that Richard Donner was originally set to direct this movie but became the producer instead and at least Richard Donner didn't come back to direct this film so far because the Omen series seriously went down the hill after the original Omen. Overall Omen III is better than Omen II but it is still an awful movie and could have been so much better if it had the originality for one reason. I highly recommend The Asylum's low budget rip off of this movie titled 666 The Beast which is also a sequel to Asylum's 666 The Child if your interested to see a good sequel to The Omen. And this movie is only for those people who are suckers for the Omen trilogy.

Damien Omen II: Damien is back to fulfill his destiny

This sequel to the original Omen is nowhere near as good as the first film and it ended up in becoming one of the worst Horror films and one of the worst sequels ever made. I seriously didn't like this movie for one reason and to be honest this film tries to be as good as the original Omen but it ended up being a bad sequel due to several problems faced within the film. I really didn't like this sequel and it wasn't nearly as good as the original Omen and nothing kept me interested with this movie and it could have been so much better if it wasn't for the film's lack of originality and problems faced within the movie. I really hated how this sequel ended up being a bad film and it will never beat the original Omen. There are some great things about Omen II but it doesn't count on becoming a great film and everything that was bad in Omen II just doesn't save the film from some of it's great moments. I seriously found a lot of problems faced within Omen II and there are loads of problems that the movie faced. There is nothing good about Omen II for one reason.
What's great about Omen II is that the film has some of the suspense and genuine scares that the original Omen had. There are lots of scary moments in Omen II and I did like the idea of this film. All of the scares are effective and really useful and I was fund of most of the ideas of Omen II and the scares work well and most of all Damien is still scary just like in the original Omen and I like how the actor played Damien in Omen II so far and he played Damien perfectly  and I like how he played the character so well and I think the actor handled his role so far as the teenage version of Damien Thorn so far. What I also like about Omen II is that the film also has some impressive soundtrack from Jerry Goldsmith(who also composed the song for the original Omen)and I like how Jerry Goldsmith handled the song in the movie and
I like how he handled the music in Omen II so far and he really knows how to handle the music of Omen II so far and I also like how Jerry Goldsmith returned for the final time in Omen III The Final Conflict. What I also like about Omen II is that the film's plot really impressed me. And I basically like the idea of each film the plot of the original Omen is Damien's birth and this movie shows his Rise To Power and I like how the plot of each film shows that Damien is growing up in the sequels but it doesn't save the film due to it's problems and faults for one reason and it could have been better so far. The biggest downside of Omen II is that the film has some kills that are just not suspenceful and just plain dull and boring. Most of the kills in Omen II are just dull and not suspenceful as the kills in the original Omen. Although there are some tense kills in Omen II. The scene where Joan Hart gets killed by getting hit by a truck on a deserted highway is one of the most intense kills in Omen II and I like how Joan Hart was attacked by the crow and it was a pretty neat kill so far. Although the rest of the kills are just lame and predictable. Aunt Marion's death wasn't really thrilling and it wasn't that suspenceful for one reason. While the doctor's death in which the doctor gets cut in half by a falling elevator cable is just fake and dull and it could have been better for one reason and I didn't like that death scene for one reason because of how fake it is. Although I like Charles Warren's death in this film where the train crushed him and I think that was a really tense death scene so far in the film and it is one of the most suspenceful kills in Omen II since Joan Hart's death so far. Director Don Taylor should not have directed this movie and if it wasn't for Don Taylor someone else could have at least directed this movie and had a better screenwriter and I'm glad that screenwriter David Seltzer didn't write this movie and I'm also glad that Director Richard Donner didn't direct this film as well but for the new crew members they could have done better so far. Overall Damien Omen II is a disappointing sequel in the Omen franchise and it will never be as good as the original Omen.

666 The Beast: Let him that hath understanding count the number of the Beast for it is the number of a man

Though 666 The Beast is true to it's predecessor it lacks the originality of it's predecessor and it could have been better so far. Although I did like this film as much as I enjoyed watching the first movie and it had a lot of great moments although it could have been better. This savage sequel to 666 The Child is just great and it had a lot of fascinating moments and this is one of the Asylum's most impressive movies since they're other films like Dead Line, 666 The Child, Freakshow and they're other Horror films. I did like this sequel and I seriously consider this to be a great rip off of Omen III The Final Conflict and it is also better than Omen III The Final Conflict. I really like this film and the plot is also interesting and while the movie still lacks all of the originality of the first movie 666 The Beast still had it's best moments and it normally succeeds as a Horror film. But like Omen III The Final Conflict 666 The Beast shows a lot of improvements over Omen III The Final Conflict. And the plot of this film is really similar to Omen III The Final Conflict because Omen III is about Damien's Armageddon and his job to fulfill his prophecy as the Anti Christ. This movie is just the same and this one is about Donald Lawson fulfilling his destiny as the Anti Christ. I really enjoyed the style of this movie and this is a film for anyone who is a fan of the Omen trilogy. hat's great about 666 The Beast is that the film is really suspenceful and there are a lot of creepy moments in this movie. The scene where Kate hears someone calling her and then she sees some of the people walking in the street looking at her demonically is one of the creepiest moments while the scene where one detective gets killed by the Anti Christ followers is really a tense scene and I think those are some of the greatest parts of the film. What I also enjoy about 666 The Beast is that the film also has a lot of tense moments and there are some suspenceful scenes in this film and I like how the movie is handled well with some fine directing and writing
and thanks to a neat storyline I had a good time with this movie. What I was also fund of this movie is that the film also has the same camera work as the first movie and the camera work in this movie is just as good as the original's camera work and everything about this movie is good from the beginning until the end and I did like the camera work so far. While the movie has some great things the biggest downside of this movie is that the film has a lot of lame rip off scenes from Rupert Wainright's Stigmata and there are some scenes that aren't suspenceful at all and it could have been better because the Stigmata scene is seriously not a good rip off scene in the film although it is way better than the Stigmata scene in Exorcism The Possession Of Gail Bowers because the Stigmata scene in Exorcism The Possession Of Gail Bowers is seriously bad and lame so mainly the Stigmata scene is just great in this movie so far. Now the acting in this movie is great though the acting isn't nearly as good as the acting in the first movie because the acting in this movie is good but it is also decent on certain parts but overall the performances of the casts is great even the actor who played Donald Lawson is just as scary and creepy as Boo Boo Stewart in the first movie so I mainly like the acting in this film but I still like the first movie's acting way better so far. Overall 666 The Beast is an entertaining sequel and it's nowhere near as good as the first movie but at least it manage to beat Omen III The Final Conflict and it is seriously one of the better Asylum movies since the first film, Freakshow, Exorcism The Possession Of Gail Bowers and Dead Line.

666 The Child: His name was death and Hell Followed him

The Asylum has some average and ok Horror movies normally most people hate they're films due to they're idea of ripping of a lot of good movies. For me some of they're films are ok not the best but no masterpiece as well but they're all fine sometimes. 666 The Child is a great Horror film from The Asylum and I like how they made a really good low budget rip off of the original Omen and mainly it's not as good as most Horror films and it's nowhere as good as the original Omen and it's remake but for me this is an ok film and it's just a fine movie to me.  The plot of 666 The Child is pretty simple and normally I like that the story has some similarities to the original Omen and I normally like it a lot. Everything about 666 The Child is just plain great and it doesn't have a lot of special things that the original Omen had even it's 2006 remake but for the most part 666 The Child is one of the Asylum's better films and it's direct sequel 666 The Beast(which is a low budget rip off of Omen III The Final Conflict)is also good but the sequel isn't nearly as good as this movie but it's also a great film. 666 The Child also has some great ideas and normally this is why I consider this film to be one of the better Asylum films ever made. I really enjoyed watching this movie and it kept me interested from start to finish like how I enjoyed the original Omen and it's 2006 remake. This movie really has everything you need for a Horror movie a lot. What's great about 666 The Child is that the film is full of suspenceful and tense scenes and there are lots of tense moments in the film and this movie has a lot of great ideas and there are loads of graphic and gory kills in the film. The Nun's death scene was really tense and suspenceful and seriously unexpected and it was kinda gory as well and I did like that scene a lot and I also like the way the Nun shows up before getting killed by a car and it was kinda creepy when Donald's adopted father didn't know that she's inside the house so far that was a great death scene. The scene where the dentist and his assistant dies is one of the most gruesome parts of the film and I think that is the goriest and the nastiest part of the film because of the use of gore and graphic violence in that scene and it was also a tense kill scene so far. The scene where Uncle Tony dies is really suspenceful and intense as well plus it was super graphic and gory as well and I like how Uncle Tony gets his fingers chopped off by the lawn mower and that was a nasty scene to watch while the rest of the kills are sometimes similar to the original Omen. The other great things about 666 The Child is that the film also has a lot of great camera work and there's some atmosphere on certain parts to keep viewers interested from watching the film a lot. Now the acting is great the performances from the casts even Boo Boo Stewart in his first role did a great job with his performance in the movie and I think this is one of Asylum's films that has great acting because the other Asylum Horror films have a lot of bad acting and take Halloween Night as an example and the range of the acting in this movie ranges from mediacore to incredible acting and I like the performances of the casts so far. This is still not one of the best Horror movies due to some weak editing but it's at least entertaining so far and it's a great Asylum movie as well and it is also one of the better Asylum films since it's sequel, Freakshow, Dead Line, Evil Eyes and Exorcism The Possession Of Gail Bowers. Overall 666 The Child is an entertaining Horror film from The Asylum and I hope that they don't make any bad Horror movies because they really handled this film well.

The Omen(1976): Satan's son is now on Earth

The Original Omen is one of the best Horror films in the 70's since Jaws, Halloween, The Exorcist and Poltergeist. I've seen the 2006 remake and I've made a review of it as well. Now since I've watched the original Omen I have to say that this is the best Horror film ever made and it is the best in the Omen trilogy since the 2006 remake(which everyone calls the worst Horror film ever made but for me it's not the worst remake it's a good remake)and this movie seriously has everything that every Horror fan needs. For the most part this is a really good Horror film and I seriously enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the 2006 remake as well. For the most part the plot is also the same as the 2006 remake but the only difference is the style of the death scenes and the other thing that's different about the 2006 remake is the style of the movie and the new scenes that were not in the original Omen. This movie is really good and it really has all of the suspense and tension plus this movie has a lot of originality. What's great about the original Omen is that the film is full of suspenceful and tense moments and the whole movie is really scary and dark and the genuine suspense and scares are really good and it makes the movie look good as well. There are lots of suspenceful scenes in this film. The Nanny's death scene was creepy and really unexpected as well and I think that death scene is just the same in the 2006 remake the only difference is that after the Nanny hangs herself on the roof the Nanny crashed herself as well in the window while in the 2006 remake after the Nanny hangs herself her shoes falls on the bowl of punch so far both scenes are the same done only in a different style. While the film has a lot of impressive and genuine scares and spooks the film also has an amazing soundtrack thanks to Jerry Goldsmith's score and I did like the music in here just as I enjoyed the music in the 2006 Omen remake although I think both songs in the original and the remake are both good but the only difference between the songs in the film is mainly they're own style. The soundtrack's style in the original creates suspense, tension and genuine scares and spooks and thrills while the 2006 remake's song by Woman In Black and Scream trilogy composer Marco Beltrami creates a really deep and dark tone with atmosphere as well and I think both soundtracks are great the only difference is that the 2006 remake just creates a really deep and dark tone with atmosphere as well. Though the original Omen lacks atmosphere it's still a great film and the movie is just full of suspense and tension though it lacks the atmosphere of the 2006 remake there are some atmospheric parts in the film but it's not enough to make the atmosphere of the film. The other things I did like about The original Omen is that the death scenes are really intense and they're the same as the 2006 remake only done in a different style. The priest's death scene in this film is great the only difference with that scene is that it's done in a different style mainly because the way the priest died in this version uses suspense music instead of the atmosphere that was done in the 2006 remake. Because the priest's death scene in the remake is really atmospheric and that scene uses atmosphere while here in the original Omen it uses suspense music to create tension and suspense and I think that was a great idea so far. I also like the decapitation scene in the Original Omen and it is also done in a different style and the only difference with the decapitation scene in the original Omen is that the scene is repeated 5 or 6 times to scare the audiences while the one in the remake is just once and I think both decapitation scenes are done in a Final Destination like style and I did like that idea so far.  Now the acting is great the performances of Gregory Peck, Harvey Stephens and Lee Remick are really good and I think Harvey Stephens did a good job with his role as Damien Thorn and he looks scary and creepy at the same time although my toughest decision is that I should choose whose the scariest among the two actors who played Damien Thorn either Harvey Stephens or the kid in the remake plays Damien perfectly mainly I think I chose Harvey Stephens because Harvey Stephens looks scary and creepy at the same time from what I can tell from his face and he looks super scary in this movie so far. Director Richard Donner and Writer David Seltzer did a good job in creating a really suspenceful Horror film with lots of genuine scares and thrills I just felt bad that the next two sequels to this movie aren't as good as the original Omen and I wish it could have been better and the first two sequels could have been a lot better if both films follow the same path as the original and the remake. Overall The Omen is a really suspenceful Horror film with lots of genuine scares and spooks that keeps audiences scared in watching and this is the best 70's Horror film since Jaws, Halloween and Poltergeist along with The Exorcist.

The Omen(remake): Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast for it's the number of a man and his number is 666

The 2006 remake of the 1976 film of the same name is just as good as the original Omen. For the most part I really enjoyed this film and everything about The Omen is just great. I seriously like this film and I've seen the 1976 version as well and I think that both films are great and I really like watching both films so far. This is a great Horror film that shows a lot of really hard work that most remakes lack now a days. Mainly that is true just don't listen to what most critics say because a lot of people say that this is a movie only for those who never watched the original Omen and for those who are only afraid of mediacore Horror films and this is not a mediacore Horror film and a lot of people really need to wake up in watching Horror films and in order to understand the rules of Horror they really need to know many things so far. I find this film to be a really suspenceful remake and it's just like the original Omen but with some new and different things like dark and deep tones plus this movie also has a couple of atmospheric scenes that the original lacked and there are also a lot of improved scenes over the original. Like the original the remake shows a lot of really dark details about Damien Thorn's real mother and it also shows a couple of disturbing and scary dream sequences plus there's more body count in this movie than in the original I'm saying it's not more than 7 or 8 but they just added a couple of new death scenes while the rest remains the same but done in a different style because like what I said in my review of The Thing prequel "What was done in the original cannot be done in the same way in the 21st century." because Horror seriously needs to think of bigger ideas and something that can improve the audiences and to entertain them with many big ideas. The fascinating thing about the remake is that the film's background history on Damien Thorn is really entertaining and the movie isn't boring and it really doesn't disappoint the fans of the original Omen and the ideas of this film is just interesting and I like the idea of this movie a lot. Normally I did find this film to be a scene for scene movie because the film's sequences are really nice and the scene for scene idea is just great and I was fund of the idea a lot. Now the other things that also impress me is the soundtrack of the film. The film's soundtrack creates a really deep and dark tone plus it also creates the atmosphere in certain parts and this is the only Omen film that uses atmosphere because the original Omen uses suspense other than atmosphere and thanks to Scream composer Marco Beltrami he really did a good job with his work on the soundtrack of this movie and I was so impressed with his song in the film and I think this is Marco Beltrami's best score since The Woman In Black and I like how the music was well used in this film a lot. The other fascinating things about The Omen is that the film also has the same kills but there are some new kills in the film. The ambassador's death is new in this movie. While there are some improved kill scenes that were in the original film mainly that's the priest's death scene and the incredible decapitation scene. The priest's death scene is really atmospheric in this film and I remember when I watched the original Omen the way the priest died isn't really as atmospheric as the way the priest died in this film because in the original the way the priest died uses suspense music just to scare the audiences while in the remake the death scene feels the same but it's a bit more darker and the atmosphere just makes the audience feel the dark and deep tone of the film and I was really fund of the idea a lot. While the decapitation scene is much more improved than before and the style of the scene in this movie is more of a Final Destination like style in which if there was a Final Destination 6 I think they should use the idea if there is a Final Destination 6 and they need a really nice decapitation scene then they should use the style of either the decapitation scene in this film or the original 1976 classic I should seriously wait for that idea if there is a Final Destination 6. There are also a couple of suspenceful scenes that I did like in the film and that is the scene where Damien rides his scooter and goes after his mother and he makes her fall on the top of the house which causes her to break her bones and be sent to the hospital is really good because the music in that scene is well used and I really enjoyed that scene a lot compared to the scene in the original 1976 classic while I also enjoyed the scene where the evil Nanny attacks Robert Thorn and that is also a really good scene in the film as well. Now the acting is great all of the casts even the new actor who played Damien in this film did a fascinating job with they're roles in the movie. Director John Moore does a unique job to create a really suspenceful remake and he knows how to handle a good Horror movie a lot and other than that he handle his directing really well just like how Richard Donner handled his directing in the original 1976 classic and I'm hoping that John Moore will direct more good movies in the future. Overall The Omen is a fascinating remake that keeps the fans of the original Omen entertained rather than being disappointed. And I also like the release date of this movie back in 2006. Because this movie was released in June 6, 2006(which stands for 666 the number of the beast or the devil.)

Paranormal Activity 2: Witness once again the Horror in an all new level of fear and terror

This is not a good prequel to the first movie. To be honest I didn't like Paranormal Activity 2 that much and the entire film is seriously down the hill from start to finish there's nothing scary at all with part 2 and it's not as scary as the overrated part 3 although there are some scary moments with the film but that doesn't add up a lot and it could have been better. Paranormal Activity 2 lacks the suspense and tension that the first and third movie had and I wasn't fund of it a lot. Too bad that this movie could have been better and it is the weakest in the Paranormal Activity series.

I enjoyed:

What's good about Paranormal Activity 2 is that this film has a really creative style in suspense and tension and there are some great and scary scenes in the film(Beware the kitchen scene) and there's some suspense and genuine scares in the entire film that I do like plus the other great things about Paranormal Activity 2 is that the film is also entertaining and there's some great performances from the casts plus half of the scares are realistic.

I didn't enjoy:

What I hated about this film is that there are some scares that aren't scary at all and everything was just going down the hill really fast and this movie seriously didn't really do a good job. Other than that the entire film is lengthy and predictable and at most moments there are some thin moments plus the biggest downside of Paranormal Activity 2 is that the film takes so many hours before the suspense starts and I was seriously irritated and it made me shook my head in disbelief because of how boring the suspense starts so far could have been better.

Overall Paranormal Activity 2 is not a scary flick at all could have been better.

Paranormal Activity: Experience an all new haunting in the found footage genre

We go back to the start where the Horror starts before we start with the prequels. The original Paranormal Activity is a mediacore Horror flick that is not as good as the new Paranormal Activity film titled Paranormal Activity 3 although it is better than the lazy Paranormal Activity 2 and it has all the jolts and thrills that the second film lacked.I find the first movie to be ok and it's an average found footage clip but I don't find it to be nearly as good as the third film because this film doesn't have the same kind of suspense an tension that the third film had and everything wasn't really that good plus it's not atmospheric as the third film and this lacks the intensity of the third film.
What I like:
I enjoy that the whole film is really suspenceful, scary and really creepy(The shadow scene and the blanket scene along with the creepy possessed Katie staring at her boyfriend) plus the entire film is entertaining and there are lots of incredible camera work.
What I dislike:
The entire film suddenly started losing a lot of suspense and tension and there's no atmosphere and the movie itself could have been better and there are no more scary scenes in the later parts.
So far the first Paranormal Activity film is an average and mediacore Horror flick and it could have been better if it had more suspense and tension. Overall Paranormal Activity is an average Horror flick that tries to be scary but it is better than the lazy Paranormal Activity 2.

The Devil's Chair: Welcome to Black Water Asylum and sit at the most horrifying chair where evil waits

There's one word I have to say about this movie and it is wow! What else can I say about this film all I can say is wow! Big surprise from Director Adam Mason. I totally love this Horror flick and it is easy enough to watch this film. For the most part The Devil's Chair is a big surprise Horror film and I can't believe it that Director Adam Mason and his writing partner Simon Boyes come up with a very clever idea and these two boys are seriously a genius when it comes to Horror films. And believe me I never watched they're first film Broken but I enjoyed this one at least and these two seriously should make more Horror movies in the future because I'm so amazed with they're work with The Devil's Chair and this is a great film that they made. There's no downside at all with the movie and everything is just perfect. I personally understand Mason and Boyes' idea with the film that they went from a totally different style and I have to admit that the chair is quite gruesome. This film is really serious for Adam Mason and Simon Boyes and the two are really smart and they're ideas are so good and full of energy. What I've seriously enjoyed about The Devil's Chair is that the entire film is atmospheric and yet this film is so thrilling and the big surprise with this movie is that it's loaded with lots and lots of blood and gore. It's seriously a recommended film and highly watchable. I've seriously had a good time watching this film and it ain't so bad after all and it's worth a watch for any Horror fan. For those of you ho are interested in watching more good old fashioned Horror films give this flick a try and I hope you'll enjoy it. Overall The Devil's Chair is a really gory Horror film with loads of twists and turns plus it's highly atmospheric and it is also a recommended Horror film for any Horror fan.

Apollo 18: The Dark Horror On The Moon

One of 2011's finest Horror films and a great example of a mediacore found footage film. Apollo 18 is a great Horror film that has the right amount of style and suspense as most found footage films and it is better than the other found footage films like Amityville Haunting, Gacy House and Paranormal Entity but this film stays true to other found footage films like Paranormal Activity, The Poughkeepsie Tapes and The Tunnel along with REC and it's remake Quarantine although this film is not nearly as good as the other found footage film The Devil Inside. Apollo 18 is a great Horror film with the right amount of style and it has a lot of good moments and this movie has everything for a found footage Horror film. The actors do a good job with they're roles in the film some of them aren't shallow and unlikable and the performances is neat and clean for the most part.
What I like about the film:
Apollo 18 is a clever movie like I said the film has the right kind of style as most found footage films. What I do love about Apollo 18 is that the camera work of the film is amazing and awesome and the film looks more like an actual footage than a movie itself because the camera work is very clever and really good. The editing by My Bloody Valentine Director Patrick Lussier is very clever and resourceful which makes the movie look good. The film is full of atmospheric sequences from the beginning until the end everything is just good and perfect from the settings to the atmosphere and it really makes you feel like your in the moon after all. I also enjoy the pacing of the film it's kinda slow but never boring overall. The film is also full of suspenceful scenes(The dead cosmonaut, The Infection, The camouflaged spider like alien creatures and the lunar rover)that makes you want to watch more of the film until the end.

The downside of the film:
There are some things I just didn't like about this film the weak looking CGI spider like alien creatures. The ending and a couple of problems with the pacing of the film in which the movie is sometimes thin and problematic in most parts so far.

Apollo 18 is one of the finest Horror films of 2011. So far Director Gonzalo Lopez Gallego and writer Brian Miller makes a mediacore Horror film that normally has a lot of good moments and they're work in the film is neat and tight I have to say so far. Overall Apollo 18 is a great Horror documentary film with the right kind of style and sometimes worth a watch for any Horror fan.

Silent Hill Downpour review: Return to Silent Hill where terror and fear is inescapable

The Silent Hill series has been popular for several years ever since after the first game and it's first two sequels were released and received a high amount of positive reviews compared to the Resident Evil series. After the first three became a big success in the franchise the series were less received by gamers because the formula is now new in the new Silent Hill games. I mainly played Silent Hill Homecoming and I've played the other Silent Hill games. There's no denying for me that after Silent Hill 3 the other games went down the hill. With the release of Silent Hill Downpour this game has all of the old school formula elements back again in a more serious and darker way.
The new Silent Hill game is now once again in the hands of another gaming company Vatra games based on the Czech republic. Vatra games this time has taken the series to an all new direction where we are introduced to a new story, new characters, new enemies, return of old school tricks and puzzles and an all new soundtrack from Dexter composer Daniel Licht who replaced long time composer of the Silent Hill series Akira Yamaoka.

Silent Hill Downpour is a new and bigger improvement over the previous Silent Hill games with new features and of course more genuine spooks and scares than the old Silent Hill games. For Silent Hill fans Downpour is a game that will please the hardcore fans of the Silent Hill series because Silent Hill Downpour is a mixture of old school and new school elements. This game also has the psychological Horror theme back on the game mixed with suspense/thriller themes that will make the Silent Hill fans play more in the game.

To start with the good things of the game let's try to discuss things for beginners of any gamer who never played the Silent Hill series.

For beginners who never played the Silent Hill series this game is a nice experience in gaming for beginners. They will rather know the things about the Silent Hill series once they played this game. This game has some disturbing content on a couple of paces from the start of the game then the game changes into survival an terror mixed with some disturbing content this game has everything new for the fans of the series. It was a good thing that the game does a unique job than the older Silent Hill games due to it's new, fresh and clean content and everything about Silent Hill Downpour is pure fantastic and absolutely stunning and amazing.
The most fantastic thing about Silent Hill Downpour is that the game has a better hand to hand combat system this time you can only use one weapon at the time and each weapon is breakable and once a weapon breaks you mainly have to run either the weapon you use breaks or there are two or more monsters that are about to kill you and the combat system is way better than Silent Hill Homecoming's combat system but still I still like the combat system of Silent Hill Homecoming and I'm not saying that Silent Hill Homecoming is a bad game but it is just a game that is fine but could have been better if that game did something different to please the fans as well and receive positive reviews. I personally like the combat system's idea of a weapon breaking once you use it too much on every monster and you have no choice but to run for your life that idea for this game is really incredible and nice as well because the combat system of Homecoming is too action instead of scary but I would say that Silent Hill Homecoming is a bland game. This game does a unique job to be successful in the Silent Hill series and the good thing about this game is that it borrows and shares elements from the first three Silent Hill games and from the later on Silent Hill games like Silent Hill Origins, Shattered Memories and a couple of good elements from Homecoming and I'm going to explain each of the elements from the previous Silent Hill games that they shared and borrowed for this game. From Silent Hill 1-3 they borrowed the foggy elements because the fog in the game is like in the first three and there are so many fixed camera angles in this game n a couple of parts from the game. While from Silent Hill Origins the use of weapons that breaks easily like bottles, chairs and other things that were used in this game is like in Silent Hill Origins because the gameplay elements of Silent Hill Origins is when the weapon like a bottle is used on an enemy it breaks easily or other breakable weapons like the scalpel and knife this game has those elements from Silent Hill Origins. While from Shattered Memories the chase mechanics like when Murphy gets chased by a red glowing ball and when it gets too close Murphy's health decreases slowly as the red ball gets nearer to Murphy and the idea of knocking down objects to slow the red ball is like in Silent Hill Shattered Memories only better, longer and more intense than before. While the elements they borrowed from Silent Hill Homecoming is the transitioning from the normal world to the otherworld.
Speaking of the otherworld in Silent Hill Downpour. The otherworld in this game is back and it is one of the most terrifying parts of the game and the way the normal world transits through the otherworld is done in a scarier style than Silent Hill Homecoming's transition. The otherworld is much more newer in this game and there are certain places when the normal world changes into the otherworld has a couple of new sequences where Murphy will end up running through endless staircases and stretchy hallways that are also endless which will disorient your head and Vatra games really understands the world of Silent Hill and it's feel and concept which will please the fans of the series and let them continue playing more of the game.
Aside from the amazing transition of the otherworld the town of Silent Hill is much more different looking than before because the setting of this game takes place in the unexplored region of Silent Hill if you saw this on the map of the old Silent Hill games well this is the actual setting of the unexplored region of Silent Hill only the fog is thicker and darker looking.
This game also has some old school things that are back in Silent Hill Downpour. The mind bending puzzles are back on the track of this game and this time the puzzles are much more easier because there is a difficulty setting for the puzzles either it can be easy for beginners, normal for people who played easy many times and hard for experts who played the game on normal difficulty. Aside from that the new characters of this game are  likable. Murphy Pendleton is the best character in the Silent Hill series since James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 and Henry Townshend from Silent Hill 4 The Room and Murphy Pendleton shares similarities to James Sunderland due to his personalities and other stuff as well. The soundtrack is also an incredible part of Silent Hill Downpour. The music this time is composed by Dexter composer Daniel Licht since longtime composer of the Silent Hill series Akira Yamaoka left to compose the soundtrack for Silent Hill Downpour. Daniel Licht's music is much more newer than Akira's music and they are done in a darker style. Silent Hill Downpour is a fantastic game that had all of the old school gameplay elements and formula back to it's serious roots and it is the best in the Silent Hill series.

Borderland: Welcome to Mexico

Welcome to Mexico everybody. You know this country people if you've been there already. Today I'm going to do my review of the 2007 Horror film Borderland. Horror Cinema has been releasing movies like Hostel and Saw now a days. If any of you guys ever heard of the case of Adolfo De Jesus Constanzo who killed and murdered a University Texas Junior student Mark Kilroy in the Spring of 1989 and when Adolfo De Jesus Constanzo was arrested he and his other cult member who are responsible as well for Mark Kilroy's death this movie is based on a true story about Mark Kilroy's death and other murder cases that happened in Mexico. The plot of this film follows a lot on the case of Mark Kilroy's death when Adolfo De Jesus Constanzo killed him in the spring of 1989. Borderland is a film done in a new kind of style and this is a Horror film that follows a lot on the case of Mark Kilroy's death. The Horror Cinema has a new kind of style when this movie was made. Borderland is a really serious film and it has similarities to Eli Roth's Hostel only darker and much more grittier than Hostel. Borderland's concept is much more realistic and true to the case of Adolfo De Jesus Constanzo's murder on Mark Kilroy. Like Hostel which focus more on the onscreen violence Borderland focus a lot on suspense, tension and atmosphere. This movie also has a serious and darker tone than Hostel. This film has a terrifying experience for viewers because Borderland scares the audience with the cases of Mark Kilroy's death and other murder and crime scenes that happened in Mexico.

Other than that Borderland is a film that is full of suspense and tension on every scene that makes the viewers want to watch more on every level and keeps them on the right track when they watch this film. Borderland is also a force to reckon due to the true cases of Mexican cults and they're hobbies like Human Sacrifices so that they're God can serve them and make them invisible. Borderland also has some evidence that shows what the cult members do to people and why they enjoy doing it.
For any Horror fan this movie also makes the viewers guess a lot on cult groups performing sacrifices. This movie also has a deep humor compared to other Horror movies like Hostel and other Horror films as well. Everything about Borderland is realistic the concept, style and the plot everything is really realistic and full of dark themes. This is a film that constantly has the right feel and the right tone that sets the moods of the viewers and keeps them watching the entire time.
What was really realistic with this movie is that Writer and Director Zev Berman grounds the entire film in a real life situation on what would happen to people if they ever travel to Mexico either they would vanish and never be heard again or end up dying as Mark Kilroy in 1989 when Adolfo De Jesus Constanzo killed him on that year. For the first 15 minutes the film is full of suspense and tension and the suspense and tension used in the film is really unsettling, unnerving and realistic. Other than that each of the characters shares similarities to the case of Adolfo De Jesus Constanzo. Phil for an example played by actor Rider Strong has a lot of similar personalities to Mark Kilroy while the cult leader is similar to Adolfo De Jesus Constanzo and the cult leader's group also shares similarities to Adolfo's members the bald guy is a great example in the movie along with his other comrades. To say this Borderland is also a force to reckon on the history of Torture Cinema. For the first 15 minutes the movie is full of violent sequences that are sheer on the brutality, graphic violence and gore and they are also intense and suspenceful as well. The slicing of eyeballs, The cutting of limbs, The cutting and butchering of body parts like the arms and legs and the slicing of tendons with Machetes and Butcher knives are one of the hardest scenes to watch for any audience in the history of torture cinema oh and let's not forget the biting and ripping of tongues and lips are one of the second hardest scenes to watch in the history of torture cinema.
The torture scenes of Borderland not only focus more on torture but it also focus more on human sacrifice and worship because the way the cult group performs they're sacrifice after they're torture they call they're God and help them become invisible so mainly the torture scenes in this film is also more into Human Sacrifice and worship. This movie also has some of the hardest scenes to watch in the history of Horror cinema. The sacrifice of Phil is a really gruesome and hard scene to watch because the way Phil was sacrificed was really gruesome and disturbing as well. The most brutal scene in Borderland is the scene where Henry gets ambushed and hacked to death by the cult group with they're Machetes is one of the most brutal scenes in the history of Horror cinema and the way they hack Henry is gritty and gruesome the use of Machetes are really a perfect fit for this kind of movie because of it's setting and concept as well. The performances from the casts is really good all of the casts did a good job with they're performances in the film. Rider Strong from Eli Roth's Cabin Fever did a good job with his performance in the film. The beautiful and gorgeous Martha Higareda did a good job with her performance in the movie and she also looks beautiful, stunning and gorgeous in the movie as well since her performance match well with her looks in the film an Lord of The Rings actor Sean Astin did a good job with his performance in the movie as Randall one of the members of the cult group who is holding Phil Hostage in the later on parts of the movie. Writer and Director Zev Berman did a good job with his work with this movie and he seriously followed the case of Mark Kilroy's death when he made this movie. Overall Borderland is a really suspenceful and tense Horror film based on a true story on the case of Adolfo De Jesus Constanzo's murder on Mark Kilroy in the Spring of 1989. This is a film that is worth watching darker and scarier than Hostel.
I'm going to make a list of special Horror movies that are worth watching I'm adding this on the list and I will make the list once I made a couple of decisions with the Horror films I've watched.

Hostel Part III: Welcome to Las Vegas

It's been so many years after Eli Roth has made two successful Horror films he first made his first feature film Cabin Fever. Then after Cabin Fever he made Hostel. Then he made a direct sequel to Hostel titled Hostel Part II. Now we go for the latest entry in the Hostel series that is a straight to DVD release titled Hostel Part III. This film doesn't have any involvement with Director Eli Roth although he is a producer for this movie. This film is directed by Scott Spiegel the writer of Evil Dead 2 and Director of From Dusk Till Dawn 2. Hostel Part III is a big change in the franchise. Unlike the first two Hostel Part III is way more different to the first two Hostel movies. I was sadly disappointed with the first two mainly I have a couple of opinions between the first two Hostel films. The first Hostel movie was great it has a nice theme and the film has a really dark atmosphere and the violence is really gory and graphic but Hostel was really lousy because the entire film doesn't have any tension, suspense or any tactical scares there are some good scares in that movie but the film goes down the hill really quick but not too much and it is a huge improvement over the disappointing part II. While Hostel Part II is pure dumb and it wasn't scary at all it was super lazy, pointless, not scary and dumb. The main problem with Hostel Part II is that the film doesn't have a lot of scares like the first movie and the entire film is too predictable and full of cliches which I hated in that movie and I think that the first movie is way better than the second film but the third film is a major improvement over the first two Hostel films. The new things about Hostel Part III is that the movie is quicker and faster than the first two Hostel films and they had a lot of improvements over the first two Hostel films. This film had the right formula and the right amount of thrills and excitement. This movie seriously had the suspense and tension on the right track. Everything was way better in Hostel Part III than in Part I and II. This movie really moves quick and fast and I personally like that idea in the movie so far it doesn't make the film look boring at all. This movie also had the violence onscreen and it is seriously non stop and the violence is more graphic than the first two Hostel films. This movie has the entire violence onscreen. The face removing is a really intense death scene and it is super graphic and hard to watch at the same time. The cockroach scene is one of the most disturbing parts of the movie where the girl gets her mouth invaded by a group of cockroaches and the scene where Justin gets hit by six arrows is a really gruesome and nasty death scene in the movie.

The acting in Hostel Part III is really nice and good all the casts did a good job with their performances in the movie and I'm seriously proud with the performances of the casts so far. I also enjoy the setting most of all in the film since the first two  takes place in Europe this new Hostel movie takes place in Las Vegas and everything about the movie is perfect so far. From the setting until the graphic violence the movie looks good and perfect as well. I think that Hostel Part III is the best in the series and it seriously beat the disappointing part I and II and everything about Part III is better and more improved than the first two. This movie has all of the style and it is a good Horror movie and there are so many good moments with the film after all and it really succeeded to become a successful Horror film. To say this I enjoyed part III and it is a thrill ride with more graphic violence and intense and suspenceful scenes. With lots of effective scares than the disappointing part I and II.

Director Scott Spiegel seriously did a good job with his directing with this movie and I'm proud with his work with this film so far and he did a better job with his directing with this movie than the direct to DVD sequel of From Dusk Till Dawn. Overall Hostel Part III is worth a watch for any Horror fan and it is one of the most anticipated Direct To DVD films since Quarantine 2 Terminal and Wrong Turn 4 Bloody Beginnings.

Kill Theory: Deep Down We're All Killers

Here's another movie review I'm going to make. It's Kill Theory. Another After Dark Horrorfest movie and I consider it to be one of the better After Dark films since Clive Barker's Dread which I reviewed a while ago. Kill Theory is one of those films that has a really similar feel to Saw. The concept and the plot is really similar to Saw. At least everything is similar to Saw because the entire concept of this movie feels like a Saw rip off. This is After Dark's best offerings since Clive Barker's Dread and it is better than the other After Dark films that were really lazy and poor(Take ZMD: Zombies Of Mass Destruction as an example of an awful After Dark movie along with The Graves another lazy After Dark film due to it's horrendous acting and no suspense at all). For one reason Kill Theory is a really smart Horror film that has the right feel and the right concept and it is sheer perfection because this film has all of the suspense and tension on every level and it instantly goes up the hill really fast. The plot actually has several similarities to Battle Royal and The Hunger Games mixed with Saw elements if you ever heard of  Battle Royal a film where all the students are forced to kill each other and the 2012 Gary Ross' adaptation of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This film is like Battle Royale or The Hunger Games mixed with Saw elements. Everything about Kill Theory is neat and perfect. The film is full of Jolty thrills and suspense with nonstop tension and most of all this movie has a lot of inventive gore effects and achieved graphic violence.
From the first sequence when the killer is starting to terrorize the group the film is full of onscreen and nonstop graphic violence and gore. And it perfectly fits well for the movie. There are lots of violent scenes in this movie. The scene where Freddy gets his eye stabbed is one of the nastiest scenes in the film. There are lots of incredible trap scenes that are really intense like the scene where Carlos gets his body rigged in a trap that is almost similar to a bear trap bigger only those scenes are really intense and thrilling. The shovel scene is super brutal in the film where the guy in an orange long sleeve shirt gets his hand shoved off with a shovel before he gets beaten to death with the shovel by his girlfriend those are one of the most gruesome scenes in the movie and the way the girl shoved her boyfriend's hand was really similar to Re Animator's shovel sequence.
As for the killer you don't get to see his face until the ending you can barely see the guy's face. Mainly the killer is like Jigsaw from the Saw movies because his reaction towards the teens are like Jigsaw's personalities and he is somehow similar to Jigsaw. Although you can barely see his arm with a really big tattoo and most of his shadow in every scene the guy just makes orders first towards the teens and he suddenly watches somewhere where no one can see him easily and he is really sneaky and smart he doesn't get caught at all and he is the eye in the sky he sees everything and he hears everyone and he can also stop the things they planned like when the teens tried to escape by driving they're van and uses a spike trap to flatten the tires and he also does somethings if the teens doesn't follow his rules like placing Carlos' body outside while he's still breathing even though he's still alive so that he can kill him he is one genius serial killer who is really sneaky towards the teens. The writing of this movie is perfect Writer Kelly C. Palmer has a lot of crazy ideas that are panned in the box and Kelly's writing is perfect the screenplay is well written and the script is fine and clean. On the downside Kill Theory is full of problems and faults from start to finish. The concept of the film maybe perfect but there are some problems with it. The first problem with Kill Theory is the pacing of the film. The film's pace is too slow meaning the film is too slow paced from start to finish. The second problem with Kill Theory is that the movie is too lengthy on every scene. The third problem with Kill Theory is that the movie is too predictable. The fourth problem with Kill Theory is that the film is full of cliches and the last and final problem with Kill Theory is that there are too many faults and problems with the movie from start to finish but it's an ok movie so far. Director Chris Moore really did a good job with his directing with this movie and I hope that he makes another good Horror movie for the future. Overall Kill Theory is a great Horror film it is one of the better After Dark films since Clive Barker's Dread.

Dread: I want your soul to open up to me

Dread is a really good Clive Barker adaptation based on Clive Barker's short story of the same name in the second volume of Clive Barker's Books Of Blood. Dread is a really grimmy Horror film that focuses on really dark themes and tones plus this movie is not only a Horror film but more of a dark psychological thriller with unexpected twists and disturbing images. I mainly read the short story first before watching the film and I never heard of the film being made before but when I heard of it I was seriously interested with the entire film and so I read Clive Barker's short story first before I watched this film and when I watched it I was really amazed with it. The entire film has a really nice feel and the tones are on a right and dark mood. The entire film has the same story  as the short story by Clive Barker but there are just some minor differences and changes in this movie from start to finish. This movie also has a lot of disturbing and graphic content and the entire film is just disturbing and dark and unsettling as well. The best scene from this movie is the scene where Quaid tortures Joshua by making him deaf again when he shot his gun near his ear and his ear bleeds after hearing the sound of a gun shot that is one of the most disturbing parts of the movie. One of the things that made me enjoy a lot with this movie is that the film has a really dark and physical feel that makes you feel disturbed a lot. The violence is graphic and disturbing and gory as well plus the film has some new consequences compared to most book to movie adaptations. Usually the feel is really unsettling and the content is really hard enough for any Horror fan to watch.
This film uses a really dark cinematography and the suspense in this film is gritty and unsettling. The movie also has a good screenplay from Director Anthony DiBlasi. The pacing is good and there are so many nice sequences that aren't boring after all. This film is also full of incredible performances from the casts. All of the casts are really good with their performances in this movie. Twilight star Jackson Rathbone did a really good job with his performance as the main character Steve Grace and he really had an astounding performance in this movie and he really did a good job with his performance in the film as well. English actor Shaun Evans did a good job with his performance in the film as Quaid and his performance is really creepy and scary as well and the way Evan bring emotion to the character is really neat and strong and I did like his acting as a crazy villain haunted by memories of the death of his parents and the scene where he violently destroys Steve and Cheryl's equipment is really unsettling because the way he behaved in that scene is really scary and you don't know either Quaid has a problem or he's going crazy throughout the film and I did like his performance as a crazy psychopath. While newcomer Hanne Steen does a unique and incredible job with her performance in the film and she does a really talented job with her performance in the film so far.

But my question in this film is that is this movie better than the short story? To say this it's a no. This film is not as good as the short story because for most books adapted into films they mainly have a lot of changes and some scenes removed from the novel as well plus they also have a couple of sometimes characters that were never mentioned in the novel. I found a lot of differences in this film from the book. In the novel the other two characters Abby and Joshua were never mentioned in the short story. Steve Grace has a different background story about his fear because in the novel his background story about his fear of being deaf was transferred to Joshua and Steve's fear in the novel was about being deaf while his fear in this movie is about dying in a car accident and Cheryl's fear of meat is much more different in this movie from the short story. Another change in this movie is that the year of the film is different I mean it happened in the same country but with a different year. Plus the other changes in the film from the novel is the ending where Quaid faced his comeuppance when Steve suddenly finds Quaids house after tormenting him in a really dark place because the ending of the film shows Quaid overcoming his own Dread and he doesn't feel scared anymore after killing both Steve and Joshua and he also kept Cheryl as a prisoner because in the novel she left after Quaid tormented her as well with the meat and Steve and Cheryl's relationship was never mentioned in the short story those are the changes from the novel to the movie. Director Anthony DiBlasi did a good job with his directing with this movie so far and I'm hoping to see more of his work in the future and I also can't wait for his next film Cassadaga with Bruce Wood writing the film instead of Anthony Diblasi writing the film again. Overall Dread is a really good Horror film and it is also a dark psychological thriller with lots of disturbing and graphic content.
