Final Destination 3: Death Comes Alive Again

Death just seem to enjoy killing lots of teenagers and over the last few years after the first two Final Destination films the series is back again in this chilling third installment in the Final Destination series and this time the original creators of the series Director James Wong and Glen Morgan along with the rest of the crew who worked hard on the first two Final Destination movies like producers Craig Perry and Warren Zide along with composer Shirley Walker is back again for another gory and brutal mayhem in Final Destination 3 where this time death has the same old plans but gorehounds and tension freaks are ready once again for another thrill ride Horror film that delivers the same goods of its predecessors. The series just doesn't stop offering all the same goodies that all the Final Destination fans want once again and its all back to the gory bits of its predecessors with Final Destination 3 the goriest and the most brutal installment in the Final Destination series. I watched this film back to back with the fourth movie which is titled "The Final Destination" and watching this film totally impressed me and the whole movie is amusing and everything that made the first two films good if not better is all here in Final Destination 3. Who can suspect that the series are still going to the same direction as its two predecessors and for the most part Final Destination 3 is still the same old Horror film but it has a couple of new things which didn't show up from its two predecessors.

Final Destination 3 is an impressive sequel that still stays true to itself but has a couple of new things and since it has a lot of good and enjoyable scenes and the film still plays well in the series because it still delivers the same gory bits of its predecessors and gorehounds and tension freaks will enjoy this movie a lot because the gore is totally nasty and gross at the same time in which the MPAA could possibly react to the whole film and try to lately cut gallons of parts where the gore is used. The things that fascinated me about Final Destination 3 is that the film has a lot of dark humor which was never shown in its predecessors. The first one was a great introduction of the series and the first film was eerie and chilling and although it didn't deliver any gore the kills are still inventive and full of suspense. Final Destination 2 was a great sequel that stays true to its predecessor and it basically stays the same as its predecessor but the big difference with number 2 is that the movie has more kills that are over the top on both the gore and brutality. Also Final Destination 2 was much more gothic than number one because the tones of that film is neat and original at the exact same time. Now we have Final Destination 3 where the film has a lot of dark humor which isn't in both part one and two and this film plays really well as much as it plays well as its predecessors.
For the most part I love this movie and when I had my Final Destination marathon days I was amused and amazed at the same time with this film. The biggest difference that Final Destination 3 did is that the whole film managed to have a new concept and the brightest and smartest ideas that James Wong and Glen Morgan did with this film is that the new concept on Death is way more different than its predecessors because the concept of this film has a lot of borrowed elements from the 1976 Horror film The Omen which I enjoyed a lot and it makes you think and guess on what will happen to the survivors in the photographs. From beginning to end Final Destination 3 is original and very unique and unlike Final Destination 2 where the movie delivers new tones and a lot of gothic themes which is also filled with deaths that are over the top on both the gore and brutality. Final Destination 3 stays true to the original film's style and like I said it stays true to its predecessors but it offers new ideas thanks to Director James Wong and Writer Glen Morgan but it stays true to the first movie because that's how James Wong and Glen Morgan work on they're films and they don't stop and step back all the time they just do their best to satisfy any of the Final Destination fans and both they're styles are a lot more different than David Ellis' and Eric Bress' work on the second film. Wong and Morgan stays true to they're self and they deliver the brightest ideas in Horror movie history. I seriously love the ideas of Final Destination 3 and I also enjoy all of the kills in this movie and all of the kills in this movie are hardcore on the gore and brutality. Plus the movie also has a lot of creepy moments lately in the opening scene where we see lots of mannequins and other things it really creeped me out and I think it was a great idea for this movie because it made the whole film look and feel dark on both the outside and the inside. The film has the Highlights once again in this movie.
The Rollercoaster crash premonition was so wild and crazy at the same time and it was a tense scene and there were some parts in the opening premonition scene where the gore is used and I think the Rollercoaster crash is the most brutal and tense opening scene in the Final Destination films while Final Destination 2's highway pile up accident is the best opening scene in the series. After the amazing Rollercoaster crash we go to the film's survivors who escape the accident. We got the visionary protagonist Wendy Christensen played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The arrogant and competitive Quarterback player Lewis Romero played by Texas Battle. The secondary protagonist Kevin Fisher played by Ryan Merriman and a couple more new characters like the angry goth couple, The flirter and more. All of the characters in this film are well developed and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a great protagonist along with Ryan Merriman who delivered a solid but well acted performance and I love Mary Elizabeth Winstead since I saw her role in Scott Pilgrim VS The World and she's so gorgeous in this movie just like A.J. Cook from Final Destination 2 and I think both actresses are great for two different films for one reason.
And after a great introduction on the characters we go for the film's deaths. I admit that all the deaths here are just as good as the deaths in its predecessors and Final Destination 3 delivers the goriest and the most brutal deaths in the film. There are gallons of gore that is well used in this film and the deaths are just fabulous in this movie and their also full of blood and gore. I enjoyed all of the kills in this movie a lot. The sun tanning bed death scene is probably the most painful kill scene in the film next to that bathroom strangulation from the first movie. The Drive Thru casualty is probably the goriest kill scene in the whole film and the gore in that scene is just well used and I love how the blood gets splattered in the screen when that scene happened. The gymnastic sequence is one of the most unexpected kill scenes in the movie. The nail gun scene is the second goriest scene in the film. The flag impalement is one of the most intense kills in the film. Ian McKinley's death where the sign crushed his whole body is the nastiest kill in the film and the subway massacre finale is the most impressive sequence in the whole movie and overall all of the kills here are hardcore on both the gore and brutality. Since all of the deaths are well executed in this film the other things that I like about Final Destination 3 is that the whole film has another good soundtrack from Shirley Walker who composed for the first two films and I love how Shirley Walker managed to handle the soundtrack really well and it was also a smart idea to make the soundtrack dark and deep because this film has a lot of dark humor and it was an impressive idea for the whole film for one reason. I was also fund of the camera work and editing of the whole film and I just adore the style that James Wong and Glen Morgan did with the whole film and I totally adore everything that these two did with the film overall. Now the acting is great the casts did a good job with their performances in the film. Mary Elizabeth Winstead did a good job with her role in the film as the visionary protagonist Wendy Christensen and she's so gorgeous in this movie not only her acting impressed me but she looks gorgeous in the movie as well and she's just as gorgeous as A.J. Cook who played Kimberly Coleman in Final Destination 2. Ryan Merriman did a good job with his role in the film as the secondary protagonist Kevin Fisher while the rest of the casts did a good job with their roles in the film as well. Director James Wong and Writer Glen Morgan did a good job with they're work in the film so far and I was amazed with how they handled the whole film and this is they're best film next to the original Final Destination along with Willard(remake)and I can't wait for what they will do next in the future. I hope they can make something dark and scary again just like how they handled they're work on Final Destination 1 and 3. Overall Final Destination 3 is an impressive sequel that delivers the same goods of its predecessors and this movie can totally impress and satisfy gorehounds and tension freaks along with the fans of the Final Destination movies and Final Destination 3 is an entertaining sequel with all of the goodies of its two predecessors.
