Mirrors 2: The Terror Lives On

Most Direct To DVD movies are not really good but some Direct To DVD Horror films are good as well. Wrong Turn 2 is an impressive Direct To DVD sequel that delivers the jolts and thrills of its predecessor. If you thought that the first Mirrors was awful then give then this sequel to the first movie is far more better than its predecessor especially because the film is more closer to the original Korean movie titled Into The Mirror. For the most part I love this film and I like it a lot more than its terrible predecessor and it is a way better movie than the first film even though the film is shot on a straight to DVD budget. I watched this movie many times and I never got bored with it and yet I'm still amazed with the whole film and I just love how the film managed to do something way more different than its terrible predecessor because this film has more improvements over the first movie because the whole film has a lot of things that just impressed me a lot. The plot of this film is about Max a disturbed man who tries to cope with his life after his girlfriend died from a horrific car accident and Max gets a call from his father to tell him that he wants him to work as a new Night Security Guard at the Mayflower mall after the first Night Security Guard quits his job after cutting himself up with glass and soon when Max starts working there he starts to see visions of a dead girl who has been missing for the last few months and as Max search for more clues he learns more mysteries with the help of Elizabeth Reigns and the more they search for the secrets the more they learn all of the mysteries and clues on what happened to Elizabeth's missing sister. To be honest I love this direct to DVD sequel. I watched it three times and it never gets boring at all. The film is packed with strong ideas and it is executed really well thanks to the script from Matt Venne and stylish directing from Victor Garcia(who is also known for making his feature film which is also a direct to DVD sequel titled Return To The House on Haunted Hill)and the movie itself is just great and well executed and overall these two totally did a good job with their work on the film.
What's great about Mirrors 2 is that the whole film is well paced from the start until the end and the film's deliberate pacing is really good and I never got bored with the whole film and I just love how the film is paced really well. The beginning of the film is a great start and it is a pretty dramatic during the opening scene. Then the second half of the film is quick and quite fast paced. The third half of the film is dark and scary at the same time and the movie's finale is tense and thrilling at the same time and the film's pacing is overall impressive. The other things I like about this movie is that the whole film is full of creepy and scary scenes and the film's scares are effective like when Max encounters the ghost of Eleanor Reigns in the first night of his work is pretty creepy and scary at the same time and the way Eleanor Reigns look like in the movie is so damn creepy and scary at the same time and every time I see her in the film she just creeps me out and the way Eleanor looks like is damn creepy and scary at the same time and I like how Eleanor looks like in the whole movie a lo and she just looks damn scary in the whole movie and the film's scares are very effective so far. I also enjoy the film's settings and I love how the whole Mayflower building looks like in the movie and the way the building looks like is so good the hallway of the building even the under ground tunnel in the movie is great and it totally fits well for the whole movie a lot and it gives the whole film a unique atmosphere. Speaking of the atmosphere the film's cinematography is crafted really well and thanks to cinematographer Lorenzo Senatore he managed to create a dark and gothic atmosphere in this movie and the way the cinematography is used in the film is just plain great and I love how Lorenzo Senatore managed to create gallons of impressive camera work in the film like the scene where Max had a nightmare I love how the camera managed to rotate in that scene and overall I did like the cinematography in this film a lot.
What I also like about this film is that the whole film is full of impressive kills and the kills may have been done in a Direct To DVD Budget style but it is totally executed really well in this movie and every kill looks impressive and it does maybe given a Straight To DVD Budget but the kills look I think a bit more like a theatrical budget rather than a Straight To DVD Budget and every kill is totally executed in a really good way. There are lots of kills where the gore is also well used and every kill scene in this movie is just great. The decapitation scene in this film is super gory and really thrilling at the same time. The gutting scene is probably one of the nastiest kills in this movie and the disturbing and nasty opening scene where the first night security guard gets his mouth a lot of disgusting cuts when his reflection started eating glass which causes his whole face to have gallons of cuts is one of the most disturbing scenes in the film and it will give you a lot of nasty looking gross outs through out the whole movie and the finale where Keller gets his body pulled into the mirror is one of the most impressive parts of the film and I totally admit that scene is very impressive and the CGI is well used in that scene and overall the film's special effects are top notch and entertaining at the same time.
Now the acting is great all of the casts did a really good job with their work in the film and the casts totally did an amazing job with their work in the film. Nick Stahl managed to do a really impressive job with his performance as the protagonist Max Matheson. Emmanuelle Vaugier did a good job with her work in the film as Elizabeth Reigns who is the sister of the ghost Eleanor Reigns. William Katt managed to do a really good job with his work in the film as Max's father and I like his acting in the Stephen King Adaptation Carrie while the rest like Christy Romano and the other new actors did a really good job with they're work in the film a lot and I totally like how the casts did a wonderful job with they're work in the movie so far. Director Victor Garcia did a really good job with his work on this movie and I like his work on Return To The House On Haunted Hill and he totally nailed this one this time and he totally understands how to work on Horror movies a lot and I'm pleasantly surprised with the way he worked on this movie a lot and I can't wait for what he will do next in the future and I hope he will make another Horror film which will mark as his first Theatrical film rather than a Direct To DVD movie like this one and Return To House On Haunted Hill. I just can't believe that after he made two successful Direct To DVD Horror films he almost went down the hill when he worked on the ninth Hellraiser film titled Hellraiser Revelations and he seriously almost went down the hill when he worked on that film because when he worked on Return To House On Haunted Hill and this movie he nailed it a lot but I can't believe that he almost went down the hill when he worked on Hellraiser Revelations because that film was shot in a quick and cheap budget because Dimension films was about to lose their rights to the series and needed to shoot another Hellraiser film for like two weeks thanks to losing the contract in making the Hellraiser series Victor Garcia should not have directed that film but its ok at least I still enjoyed his work on this film and his previous work which is Return To House On Haunted Hill. Overall Mirrors 2 is a worth watching Direct To DVD sequel that has a lot of goodies and some impressive ideas that are close to the original Korean movie titled Into The Mirror and I had a fun time watching this movie a lot and I love how the kills are executed even though they were given a Straight To DVD Budget.

The Bay: Panic Feeds On Fear

Never throw anything hazardous into the lake. That's a lesson we must all learn because if we don't follow the rules it can cause problems. Then get ready to experience the horror of pollution in Barry Levinson's 2012 Horror documentary film The Bay. When I watched this film on my DVD player I was totally blown away by it and I ended up being satisfied and amazed with the whole movie and The Bay shares similarities to last year's 2011 virus Horror film Contagion. The plot of this film is just like Contagion's plot where in the town of Chesapeake Bay lots of people are getting infected by a disease that is probably from the water due to the dump of chicken excrement and other things in the bay where they start to have boils, lesions and other illnesses and the hospital starts having problems due to the increase number of patients where everyone is waiting and the doctors are rushing and panicking due to the number of sick people in the hospital and the film shows footages of the outbreak in Chesapeake Bay on the Fourth of July where everyone started dying slowly from the infection where the parasite called Cymothoa Exigua kills every person on the inside. To be honest I love this movie and I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed last year's Contagion. But like Contagion where the film focus on the spread of a new airborne disease that affects every country and we get to see gallons of scary and creepy images of people getting sick and Contagion focus on suspense and tension and the reality of the virus. The Bay is done in the same style the only big difference the movie is shot in a faux documentary style and the movie is more disturbing than Contagion because this film shows a lot of graphic and disturbing images of the people getting sick and its concept is just as realistic as Contagion's concept.
For the most part I love this film and I enjoyed its execution a lot and the whole film is really tense and thrilling from start to finish and the movie carries a creepy and scary feel and the film will also give you a lot of nightmares and the film will also give you a feel that you must be careful on things whenever you go into the water and it makes the audience think twice about it. I seriously didn't find this movie boring at all and it stays true to Contagion's style and the whole film has a lot of really creepy and scary elements and the film also keeps you guessing on what really happened to the townsfolk of Chesapeake Bay and I just love this movie a lot and it is also one of 2012's most surprising Horror films. What's great about The Bay is that the whole film is well paced and the movie doesn't get boring at all and the pacing of the film is just damn excellent and I seriously didn't find the whole film to be tedious or dull thanks to the stylish directing of director Barry Levinson and I normally enjoyed the whole film from start to finish and overall the pacing is great. The other things I like about The Bay is that the whole film has a lot of disturbing moments and the film's content is probably the most disturbing moments in Horror movie history. The film has a lot of disturbing images that will give you nightmares from start to finish.
There are lots of disturbing parts in the film that will give you nightmares for the rest of your life. There are gallons of shots of people with lots of boils and lesions that are just icky and disturbing and shots of dead people in the whole movie is really unsettling and unnerving at the same time oh and let's not forget that the whole film also a couple of parts that are mentioned which totally disturbed me which is tongues cut off and some also includes organs eaten from the inside and amputated legs and feet are probably one of the most disturbing moments in this movie and overall the sequences in this film will give you nightmares and it is also one of the most disturbing moments in Horror movie history. What I also like about The Bay is that the whole film has a couple of parts where the atmosphere is well used like. There are lots of parts in the film where the lighting is well used towards the whole movie. The scene where the two cops arrive has some great shots where the atmosphere is well used and I did enjoy watching those parts from the movie a lot and I did like the atmosphere of this movie and the atmosphere is overall well used.
Now the acting is great all the casts in this movie did a really good job with their work in the film and all of the actors and actresses did a fascinating job in performing in the movie and the casts did a good job with their work in the film so far. Director Barry Levinson did a really good job with his work on this movie and I was amazed with how he directed his first Horror movie and I just love how he and the other guys who created the Paranormal Activity series worked hard on this film and they made a strong and comprehensive Horror film that has lots of disturbing and scary moments and I can't wait to see what Director Barry Levinson will do next and I'm interested to watch his next Horror film in the future. Overall The Bay is a strong and impressive Horror film that has one of the most disturbing moments in movie history and it also has some of the scariest moments in the film as well. Remember everybody the lesson of this film is never throw anything Hazardous in the lake. Last year's Contagion's lesson is always wash your hands so now The Bay's lesson is never throw anything Hazardous in the lake that can cause pollution and affect a lot of people.

Dead Space: Get ready to experience the new world of Horror in EA's Survival Horror game.

Get ready to experience terror in a dark and grisly way in EA's first installment in the Dead Space series. While Resident Evil and Silent Hill remain as one of the most popular Horror games for several years and Resident Evil is getting better reviews over its rival which is the Silent Hill series. EA is about to make any gamer squirm on their seat like a person who squirms watching a Horror movie in this highly anticipated and critically acclaimed game Dead Space. You could never know that this game seriously became popular back in 2008 and has spawned two sequels which is "Dead Space 2" and "Dead Space 3" along with the Dead Space prequel for the Nintendo Wii and now on PS3 when you get the collector's edition of Dead Space 2 for PS3 titled "Dead Space Extraction" which acts as a prequel to the series and takes place at the exact same time as the animated Horror film and prequel to the game as well which is titled "Dead Space: Downfall" and it was also released with another Dead Space animated film that acts as a sequel to the first game and acts as a prequel to Dead Space 2 titled "Dead Space: Aftermath". Back in 2008 at E3 this game was nominated and won also for several awards for its atmosphere, gameplay, sound editing and its Horror as well. Reviews of the game were positive. When I started playing the first game I ended up becoming amazed with it and the game was just damn scary and I was so freaked out over the whole game and I was amazed with all of the ideas that EA had in mind with the game from the story to the basic concept and gameplay as well.
For the most part this is such a fun and enjoyable survival Horror game and if you love Resident Evil or Silent Hill then you will definitely enjoy this game a lot more. But unlike Resident Evil where you must survive and kill a lot of zombies and mutated people and Silent Hill which you have to run or fight gallons of monsters in the foggy town of Silent Hill then Dead Space is about running and surviving an infected Alien outbreak and you have to use weapons to kill every Alien but like Resident Evil or Silent Hill where you use different objects or firearms to kill every monster then Dead Space includes weapons that you've never seen before on any Survival Horror game. I just enjoy the basic idea of this game and the execution is so damn scary and  the game has a lot of suspense and it keeps also the tension from being in the wheel and EA normally just do their best in creating this game and they seriously did a good job with the ideas of this game and the whole game is nonstop on everything from the Horror to the suspense of the game and the game is full of gore and graphic violence that can satisfy any Horror fan. Anyways lets start the review by starting first from the basic plot. We all know that in Horror movies about a basic plot like this. Dead Space is the story of a crew who visits the Ishimura for repairs after receiving calls from the ship where all the workers including the protagonist Isaac Clarke soon discovered the Horror that lurks in the Ishimura and soon the crew must escape the Ishimura before they all get killed.

I did enjoy the basic plot of the game and the concept of it being in outer space is just great and it keeps the Horror genre on the top and I never knew that this is one of the best ideas in the game and I also consider it as one of the best Survival Horror games ever made and I'm definitely sure that it will keep all the fans of Horror interested and people who love a lot of Horror games are definitely gonna enjoy this game as well. After a short introduction the tension rises throughout the game and it gets higher and higher and it keeps the player on the edge of their seat thanks to its rising suspense and tension which keeps gamers freaked out a lot and EA is super smart in making suspense and tension throughout the whole game and the jump scares are effective and well used throughout the game also the other good things about this game is that the whole game has an enormous amount of atmosphere that gives the game an eerie feel and I like how the developers managed to use some atmosphere from Ridley Scott's Alien which is just great for the game. And seriously the atmosphere is eerie as hell and it makes you feel and think that something is about to pop out and you have to kill it quickly before it kills you. The whole game totally send shivers down my own spine and all the scares are just effective and the atmosphere is brooding and eerie which gives the game a dark and creepy feel and it also makes you feel scared and that idea is just great for one reason and I'm happy with all of the ideas a lot on this game.
While those are the first things I like about the game the second thing I like about the game is that the whole game has a lot of impressive settings and all of the outer space settings on the outside is impressive and full of atmosphere even the Ishimura ship itself looks wonderful and it was a smart idea for the Ishimura ship to be a really big ship which keeps the game's tension and suspense a lot and the ship's design is so big and most areas of the game is full of atmosphere while some are full of suspense and disturbing sequences. My personal favorite setting of the game is the food storage because the atmosphere in that part is just creepy and scary at the same time. I also enjoy the game's monster designs that feels like a monster from Ridley Scott's Alien or other Horror films that were from the 70's and 80's. The game is very tense and thrilling and all of the creatures are so damn scary from the Necrophorms to the other aliens in the game and the Necrophorms are very similar to zombies where you just combine some zombie and alien elements and you have the Necrophorm. I also like the idea that most of the monsters are super big and the Hive monster is probably one of the best monsters in the whole game and it was so huge and super scary at the exact same time I remember how I fought that monster in the last part of the game and it got me on the edge of my seat and I was so damn freaked out about that monster and it was such a great idea for the last part of the game a lot. Plus the gameplay is super fun as well and the third person gameplay is even better than how Resident Evil 4 and 5's gameplay did and the gameplay is just pure fun and full of entertainment I also like how you can just dismember enemies rather than just going through the quick head shots and the game's gameplay is totally sheer on the gore and brutality and it was pretty impressive overall and I had a fun time with it a lot. I also enjoy the characters especially Isaac Clarke. The character of Isaac Clarke is just great and I like how EA had the idea that he's introduced first as a mute protagonist where the character of Isaac Clarke doesn't have any dialogue from start to finish until in the sequels he has the ability to talk and Isaac not speaking in the first game until he starts to talk from Dead Space 2 and 3 is just impressive and Isaac is one of the best protagonists in Horror video games. The other characters were also likable like Doctor Kyne who is a great and likable character throughout the game. Hammond was also a great protagonist and Kendra is a great character throughout the game and it was totally unexpected that she's an antagonist because you may have thought that she's a good girl and she'll survive with Isaac until you discovered that she's a bad person and that was a smart idea a lot and Kendra may not be aggresive as the next antagonists in Dead Space 2 and 3 but she's a great antagonist in this game overall she's just not as aggresive as the next two antagonists from Dead Space 2 and 3 but overall all of the characters are well developed through the game. Overall Dead Space is a fun Horror game that delivers the Horror, Suspense, Tension and Atmosphere and it is a great idea for this kind of game a lot and I just enjoy the basic style of Dead Space a lot and the execution is so impressive.

Final Destination 5: Death Has Never Been Closer

Death is back again in this fifth installment in the Final Destination series and death is back in a darker and sinister way. I watched this film back in August 2011 with my parents and when I walked out of the theater I ended up being totally surprised and my first thoughts were wow! Big surprise and I would say that this is the best in the Final Destination series next to the original. This time the movie is directed by Steven Quale the protoge of James Cameron and written also by Nightmare On Elm Street remake writer Eric Heisserer. And these two created a marvellous and surprising Final Destination films that made me enjoy the first three films which is also missing during the embarrassing fourth film. The fans of the Final Destination films will be totally surprised when they watched this one. I watched this once at the cinema and it was so good and I watched again and again and again at home and it never bored me its totally the best in the Final Destination films and thanks to Quale and Heisserer they both managed to bring the Final Destination films back into its serious roots with a darker and scarier concept than Final Destination 3. For the most part this movie has all of the goodies it has all of the gore and suspense and people who love watching darker films will be so surprised with this movie because frankly the film itself is brooding and very dark from start to finish and it also has better 3D scenes than its terrible predecessor even the effects on this movie are way better than the weak CGI of its predecessor. Everyone will be surprised to watch this film and everything is realistic rather than fake like what the fourth film did.
I totally love this movie and there are loads of things that I like about this movie. One of the great things about this film is that the whole film has a strong and visually stunning opening scene and the opening scene of this movie is much more darker than the previous films opening scenes and the soundtrack is five times better this time and Brian Tyler managed to do something totally different  with his work on the soundtrack of the film like his work in the fourth movie here in Final Destination 5 he managed to compose a dark and brooding soundtrack that gives the whole film a dark feel and I really love his style on the soundtrack and overall I ended up being satisfied with the soundtrack of the whole film and I just like it a lot. I also enjoy the opening scene where the Suspension bridge collapsed and the suspension bridge collapse is one of the best opening scenes in the Final Destination series next to the Highway pile up accident from Final Destination 2 and the bridge collapse scene is super gory and intense and I just love watching that scene a lot and overall it is the best opening scene out of all the opening scenes of the Final Destination films. And after the suspension bridge collapse we are introduced to a couple of characters who survived the accident. We got Sam Lawton played by Nicholas D' Agosto. Peter played by Miles Fischer. Molly Harper played by Emma Bell. Nathan played by Arlen Escarpeta and a couple more characters even the return of William Bludworth played once again by Tony Todd. All the characters are well developed in this film and their not shallow or paper thin like the characters in the fourth film. Here all of the characters are believable and I just love how the characters are well developed and their all great overall.
One of the other great things about this film is that the whole movie is full of dark tones and themes and this movie is darker than the first four Final Destination films. All of the dark tones are well used in this movie and I was fund of how the dark tones were played well in the film and it really fits well for this movie a lot and it gave the whole film a suspenceful and eerie feel and overall it was a smart idea for the filmmakers to do this style overall and I thoroughly enjoyed it a lot. One of the other great things that I like about this film is that the whole movie delivered some of the best death scenes in Horror history. Every single death scene in this film is creative and well made. There are loads of impressive and suspenceful death scenes in this film and I enjoyed watching every kill in this movie. The gymnastic sequence is one of the most brutal death scenes in the film. The acupuncture death scene is the goriest death scene in the whole film. The laser eye surgery is the most painful death scene in the film next to the Sun Tanning bed kill scene from Final Destination 3 and the Painful neck strangulation scene from the first film. The gruesome wrench scene is one of the most disturbing kills in the whole film and Roy's death is probably the most gruesome death in the whole movie. And overall all of the deaths were great in this film and they're not comedic as the kills in the fourth film. One of the other things I like about this film is that the whole movie is full of twists and turns. Who could ever thought that this movie is a prequel to the first film when the characters rode the plane from the original movie and the audience gets shocked when the characters in this film rode the plane from the original film which is Flight 180 and I love how the twist was used in this movie t really can shock the audience a lot and it was a smart idea overall.
One of the last things I like about this film is that the movie has an impressive montage in the last part. I just enjoy watching the last part of the film which shows a montage of clips from the first four movies with the sing by AC/DC playing in the background and the montage in the last part is so over the top and I just love how the montage played in the last part of the film and it was great enough to listen to that song and watching the last part of the film a lot and overall I love that idea a lot. Now the acting is great all of the casts did a really good job with their work in the film from Nicholas D' Agosto to Tony Todd and overall the casts did a good job with their work in the film so far. Director Steven Quale and Writer Eric Heisserer did a really good job with their work on the film and I'm so proud that these two did an amazing job with bringing the Final Destination movies back to its serious roots only with a darker feel and I hope that there will be a sixth film in the Final Destination series with Quale and Heisserer working together again. Overall Final Destination 5 is an impressive prequel to the series and it is the best in the Final Destination films next to the first film. This movie is one of 2011's best Horror films next to Fright Night and other Horror movies as well.

The Final Destination: Rest In Pieces

Just when  you though that the Final Destination movies could end up getting better and better. But for the most part the fourth film in the series which is titled The Final Destination ended up being the weakest and the worst installment in the Final Destination series. Its not only the worst installment in the series but it also ended up being the most embarrassing installment in the Final Destination films. All of the Final Destination fans will end up getting disappointed by this one because this movie has a lot of issues and faults and problems at the exact same time thanks to the bad execution of the film and I can't believe the same guys who nailed Final Destination 2 Director David Ellis and Writer Eric Bress ruined the fourth movie thanks to a bad execution and I love how they handled the plot and concept of this film but I hated how the execution ended up being bad rather than a good execution. Seriously who can suspect the hardcore fans of the Final Destination series to enjoy watching this movie. This film is a disposable Horror film and its very faulty and problematic from start to finish. David Ellis totally went down the hill when he made this film and I love his work in Final Destination 2 and Snakes On A Plane. But I can't believe he lost his talent when he made this movie and his other Horror film which is titled Shark Night a lame Shark movie that feels like an Asylum rip off of Jaws and hell that film was even worse than this movie. Writer Eric Bress should also feel embarrassed and a shamed for writing this film and these two totally ruined the Final Destination franchise thanks to the bad execution of the movie.
Anyways the movie only has a couple of good scenes during the first half of the film but the movie suffers from various flaws where the problems lately start in the whole movie. I did enjoy the opening race track disaster and some of the deaths were good in the opening scene but some ended up being fake and dull and I hated how the deaths became really fake during some parts of the premonition scene and at times the 3D in that scene is well used but in certain times it ended up being a bit unnecessary and the 3D scenes in this film is totally unnecessary and the execution of the 3D effects are bad in this film thanks to the use of CGI the whole film ended up being bland and unoriginal. The plot of course I didn't have any problems with it and its the same as the first three but I can't believe this movie ended up having a lot of flaws and mistakes and the whole movie is badly executed and this film is a complete train wreck from beginning to end and Ellis totally went down the hill with this film and I can't believe he directed this movie and I would enjoy this movie only if it wasn't badly executed and the whole movie feels horrendously awful and bland at the same time.
Ok there are only a few good things about this movie which I enjoyed in the film. The great thing about this movie is that the film's soundtrack is impressive and very unique at the same time and composer Brian Tyler did a good job with his work on composing the song for this movie and I just seriously feel bad for Shirley Walker who died after making Final Destination 3 and if she was alive she would compose the soundtrack for all five movies. But at least Brian Tyler did a good job with his work on the soundtrack for the movie and the songs are just as good as the songs from the previous Final Destination films and Brian Tyler was so good and overall I'm amazed with his work on the songs for this movie overall. The other things I like about this film is that the whole movie has an impressive opening and ending scene. I love the X Ray opening scene that shows the deaths from the previous Final Destination films in an X Ray style and I just love how it was also used in the last part where Nick, Janet and Lori gets killed by a giant truck and I would say that those are the best scenes I've ever seen in movie history and overall I had a fun time watching those scenes a lot.
Now one of the flaws that suffered in this movie are pretty simple. One of the things I hate about this film is that most of the deaths are fake and dull and I also hate how the deaths are mixed with horrid CGI effects and its used on the blood which is worse than I ever expected and the CGI in this film makes this movie look like a Syfy original picture mixed with bad CGI effects. Seriously every death scene is fake and some were also over hyped at the same time while some of them are laughable and ungory at the same time. In the premonition scene Nadia's death was great and intense but the rest of the kills in the premonition scene ended up being fake and dull thanks to the awful CGI effects used in the whole movie. And Nadia's death in the real world was so fake and it was quite stupid to have the tire flying out of the stadium it makes the Final Destination look like a comedic film rather than a scary film. Every death scene seriously is so bad in this film. The first kill scene where Carter Daniels gets killed is one of the most laughable death scenes in the whole movie because that scene didn't scare me and the song Why Can't We Be friends playing in that scene just made me laugh rather than feeling scared of it and that scene is the most laughable scene in the whole film. Andy's death was so fake in the film  as well and I like his death in the premonition which is a gruesome scene but his death in the real world was so quick and fake at the same time which I didn't like because there's no suspense on every death scene. Even the hospital sequence was so ungory and fake at the same time. And the escalator kill scene was so overhyped and I can't believe that scene was so overhyped but I did enjoy the over the top gore used in that scene. The only death scenes that I like in this film is the Salon sequence, The swimming pool kill scene is probably the goriest kill scene in the whole film, George's death was very similar to Terry Chaney's death in the first movie and the car wash scene is probably the only suspenceful scene in the whole film the rest just ended up being bland and unoriginal. My other problems with this film is the characters in the movie. I have no problems with the main characters of the movie but the rest were to Shallow and Paper Thin which is one of the biggest issues of the film so I think this is also one of the things that made this film suffer badly its too bad for David Ellis and Eric Bress. So overall the film is hardly scary or suspenceful thanks to all of the film's major issues and flaws. At least the acting is still good in this film the performances of the protagonists did a really good job with their work in the film but still it can't save the whole film because this is just an awful movie. Director David Ellis and Writer Eric Bress seriously went down the hill this time and if their work on the second film was good then this one is just awful and I can't believe these two lost they're talents in the movie and Ellis went down the hill for real and I just feel bad that he died after he made this and Shark Night and he could have at least made one more good Horror film to impress Horror fans before he died on January 2013 so I seriously feel bad for David Ellis for one reason. Overall The Final Destination is a disposable Horror film that has a lot of issues and flaws and it is the weakest and the most embarrassing installment in the Final Destination series.

Final Destination 3: Death Comes Alive Again

Death just seem to enjoy killing lots of teenagers and over the last few years after the first two Final Destination films the series is back again in this chilling third installment in the Final Destination series and this time the original creators of the series Director James Wong and Glen Morgan along with the rest of the crew who worked hard on the first two Final Destination movies like producers Craig Perry and Warren Zide along with composer Shirley Walker is back again for another gory and brutal mayhem in Final Destination 3 where this time death has the same old plans but gorehounds and tension freaks are ready once again for another thrill ride Horror film that delivers the same goods of its predecessors. The series just doesn't stop offering all the same goodies that all the Final Destination fans want once again and its all back to the gory bits of its predecessors with Final Destination 3 the goriest and the most brutal installment in the Final Destination series. I watched this film back to back with the fourth movie which is titled "The Final Destination" and watching this film totally impressed me and the whole movie is amusing and everything that made the first two films good if not better is all here in Final Destination 3. Who can suspect that the series are still going to the same direction as its two predecessors and for the most part Final Destination 3 is still the same old Horror film but it has a couple of new things which didn't show up from its two predecessors.

Final Destination 3 is an impressive sequel that still stays true to itself but has a couple of new things and since it has a lot of good and enjoyable scenes and the film still plays well in the series because it still delivers the same gory bits of its predecessors and gorehounds and tension freaks will enjoy this movie a lot because the gore is totally nasty and gross at the same time in which the MPAA could possibly react to the whole film and try to lately cut gallons of parts where the gore is used. The things that fascinated me about Final Destination 3 is that the film has a lot of dark humor which was never shown in its predecessors. The first one was a great introduction of the series and the first film was eerie and chilling and although it didn't deliver any gore the kills are still inventive and full of suspense. Final Destination 2 was a great sequel that stays true to its predecessor and it basically stays the same as its predecessor but the big difference with number 2 is that the movie has more kills that are over the top on both the gore and brutality. Also Final Destination 2 was much more gothic than number one because the tones of that film is neat and original at the exact same time. Now we have Final Destination 3 where the film has a lot of dark humor which isn't in both part one and two and this film plays really well as much as it plays well as its predecessors.
For the most part I love this movie and when I had my Final Destination marathon days I was amused and amazed at the same time with this film. The biggest difference that Final Destination 3 did is that the whole film managed to have a new concept and the brightest and smartest ideas that James Wong and Glen Morgan did with this film is that the new concept on Death is way more different than its predecessors because the concept of this film has a lot of borrowed elements from the 1976 Horror film The Omen which I enjoyed a lot and it makes you think and guess on what will happen to the survivors in the photographs. From beginning to end Final Destination 3 is original and very unique and unlike Final Destination 2 where the movie delivers new tones and a lot of gothic themes which is also filled with deaths that are over the top on both the gore and brutality. Final Destination 3 stays true to the original film's style and like I said it stays true to its predecessors but it offers new ideas thanks to Director James Wong and Writer Glen Morgan but it stays true to the first movie because that's how James Wong and Glen Morgan work on they're films and they don't stop and step back all the time they just do their best to satisfy any of the Final Destination fans and both they're styles are a lot more different than David Ellis' and Eric Bress' work on the second film. Wong and Morgan stays true to they're self and they deliver the brightest ideas in Horror movie history. I seriously love the ideas of Final Destination 3 and I also enjoy all of the kills in this movie and all of the kills in this movie are hardcore on the gore and brutality. Plus the movie also has a lot of creepy moments lately in the opening scene where we see lots of mannequins and other things it really creeped me out and I think it was a great idea for this movie because it made the whole film look and feel dark on both the outside and the inside. The film has the Highlights once again in this movie.
The Rollercoaster crash premonition was so wild and crazy at the same time and it was a tense scene and there were some parts in the opening premonition scene where the gore is used and I think the Rollercoaster crash is the most brutal and tense opening scene in the Final Destination films while Final Destination 2's highway pile up accident is the best opening scene in the series. After the amazing Rollercoaster crash we go to the film's survivors who escape the accident. We got the visionary protagonist Wendy Christensen played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The arrogant and competitive Quarterback player Lewis Romero played by Texas Battle. The secondary protagonist Kevin Fisher played by Ryan Merriman and a couple more new characters like the angry goth couple, The flirter and more. All of the characters in this film are well developed and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a great protagonist along with Ryan Merriman who delivered a solid but well acted performance and I love Mary Elizabeth Winstead since I saw her role in Scott Pilgrim VS The World and she's so gorgeous in this movie just like A.J. Cook from Final Destination 2 and I think both actresses are great for two different films for one reason.
And after a great introduction on the characters we go for the film's deaths. I admit that all the deaths here are just as good as the deaths in its predecessors and Final Destination 3 delivers the goriest and the most brutal deaths in the film. There are gallons of gore that is well used in this film and the deaths are just fabulous in this movie and their also full of blood and gore. I enjoyed all of the kills in this movie a lot. The sun tanning bed death scene is probably the most painful kill scene in the film next to that bathroom strangulation from the first movie. The Drive Thru casualty is probably the goriest kill scene in the whole film and the gore in that scene is just well used and I love how the blood gets splattered in the screen when that scene happened. The gymnastic sequence is one of the most unexpected kill scenes in the movie. The nail gun scene is the second goriest scene in the film. The flag impalement is one of the most intense kills in the film. Ian McKinley's death where the sign crushed his whole body is the nastiest kill in the film and the subway massacre finale is the most impressive sequence in the whole movie and overall all of the kills here are hardcore on both the gore and brutality. Since all of the deaths are well executed in this film the other things that I like about Final Destination 3 is that the whole film has another good soundtrack from Shirley Walker who composed for the first two films and I love how Shirley Walker managed to handle the soundtrack really well and it was also a smart idea to make the soundtrack dark and deep because this film has a lot of dark humor and it was an impressive idea for the whole film for one reason. I was also fund of the camera work and editing of the whole film and I just adore the style that James Wong and Glen Morgan did with the whole film and I totally adore everything that these two did with the film overall. Now the acting is great the casts did a good job with their performances in the film. Mary Elizabeth Winstead did a good job with her role in the film as the visionary protagonist Wendy Christensen and she's so gorgeous in this movie not only her acting impressed me but she looks gorgeous in the movie as well and she's just as gorgeous as A.J. Cook who played Kimberly Coleman in Final Destination 2. Ryan Merriman did a good job with his role in the film as the secondary protagonist Kevin Fisher while the rest of the casts did a good job with their roles in the film as well. Director James Wong and Writer Glen Morgan did a good job with they're work in the film so far and I was amazed with how they handled the whole film and this is they're best film next to the original Final Destination along with Willard(remake)and I can't wait for what they will do next in the future. I hope they can make something dark and scary again just like how they handled they're work on Final Destination 1 and 3. Overall Final Destination 3 is an impressive sequel that delivers the same goods of its predecessors and this movie can totally impress and satisfy gorehounds and tension freaks along with the fans of the Final Destination movies and Final Destination 3 is an entertaining sequel with all of the goodies of its two predecessors.

Final Destination 2: Death Is Back

Final Destination 2 is a really good sequel and it still delivered the same goods of its predecessor. I use to remember watching this film back in my younger years when I was 6 years old I think and it was one of the Horror films that got me interested into Horror films and it was my first Final Destination movie before I watched the original film. I love this sequel as much as I enjoyed its predecessor and like the first movie part 2 delivers new ideas on the deaths and suspense. I totally enjoyed this sequel and I've watched it many times before and I watched it again back to back with its predecessor and it still doesn't bore me and it always keep me interested from watching it from start to finish. Gorehounds and tension freaks will appreciate this sequel because this sequel has all of the goodies that Gorehounds want and it can still satisfy tension freaks because this movie is just pure fun entertainment that has all of the best ideas and executions in Horror movie history.
This movie has a lot of great things that its predecessor has and it is just pure fun enough to watch and it won't bore any Horror freak a lot. This movie has a lot of Highlights. The good things about Final Destination 2 is that the whole film has the same suspense as its predecessor and it still delivered some of the best death scenes in Horror history. But unlike its predecessor where the deaths are painful and hard to watch. Here in Final Destination 2 the deaths are insane and outrageous plus the deaths are totally over the top on the brutality and the gore and there's gallons and gallons of gore used in this sequel not only suspense but there's loads and loads of gore that is totally over the top even the style of each death scene its also over the top and it is raised to the highest level and no one can forget the deaths that this movie delivered.
Also the suspense in this movie is totally gonna make any audience squirm and for the most part the suspense is just fascinating and impressive. All of the ideas that Director David Ellis and Writer Eric Bress had is just great and wonderful and these two did an amazing job with their work in the whole movie plus if you like the first one then you'll enjoy this even more than its predecessor. There are loads of impressive ideas in this movie and the execution of Final Destination 2 is just wonderful. One of the Highlights of this film is the Highway pile up disaster sequence where all the cars are destroyed and some are killed in gruesome ways and the highway pile up accident is what I consider as one of the most brutal and suspenceful scenes in Horror movie history. The gruesome ladder sequence where Evan Lewis gets his eyes impaled from the ladder is totally hardcore and over the top on both the gore and brutality. Then Tim Carpenter's death where the glass slab crash towards his body is one of the most gruesome deaths in the film. The elevator decapitation where Nora Carpenter gets her head chopped off from the elevator is one of the goriest death scenes in the film and the gore in that scene is so over the top. The airbag sequence where Cat gets her head impaled when the fireman tried to save her and the airbag suddenly activates and her head gets impaled by the pipe that's on her back  is one of the most intense deaths in the whole film.
And Rory's death is the goriest death scene in the whole film and the gore used in that scene is so over the top and that death scene was so good and it was well used and very creative and effective as well and the gore is just over the top and well used at the exact same time. While Clear Rivers and Eugene's death is really unexpected and intense at the same time. While the barbecue kill in the last part is probably the craziest death scene in the whole film.
And overall the deaths in this movie are just plain great and I had a fun time watching all of the kills in this movie. The other things I like about this movie is that the soundtrack of the film is really good thanks to Shirley Walker once again. I did enjoy listening to the soundtrack of this film as much as I enjoyed the soundtrack of its predecessor but unlike the soundtrack of its predecessor here in Final Destination 2 the soundtrack is much more gothic and gives it a deep feel and I love how Shirley Walker compose the song in a good and impressive way and overall the soundtrack in this movie is fun to listen and I love how it became gothic than before. Now the acting in this movie is great. The casts did a good job with their roles in the film and I was amazed with their performances. A.J. Cook did a good job with her role in the film as the visionary and protagonist Kimberly Coleman and she's so gorgeous and pretty as well. Ali Larter did a good job once again in reprising her role as Clear Rivers since I adore her role in the first film while the rest of the cast did a good job with their work in the movie so far. Director David Ellis and Writer Eric Bress did a really good job with their work in the film and I love how Ellis managed to nail this film with his stylish directing and I can't believe he went down the hill after he directed this film and Snakes On A Plane because his last films which is The Final Destination(which is the fourth installment in the Final Destination films)and Shark Night(which is even worse than The Final Destination)made him lose his talent and I only wished that he could have directed one more Horror film to satisfy Horror fans before he died on January 2013 so sad for one reason. Overall Final Destination 2 is an impressive sequel that delivers the same goods as its predecessor but it is totally over the top than its predecessor and it s an entertaining and worth watching Horror film. If you like the first film then I suggest you to watch this one you'll like it as well.
